There is something quietly distinctive about a surgeon who has spent her entire career in the city where she was trained — not because she lacked options, but because she made a deliberate choice. Donna M. Krummen, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a Cincinnati native who studied at Xavier University before earning her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Her postgraduate training took her to St. Luke's Medical Center in Cleveland for her surgical residency, and then to the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo for a fellowship, before she returned to Cincinnati to establish her solo private practice in 2000. A quarter-century later, that practice remains exactly what it was designed to be: a focused, single-physician environment where every patient has access to the surgeon directly, from initial consultation through every stage of care. Dr. Krummen is board-certified in both plastic surgery and general surgery. Cincinnati Magazine has recognized her annually as a Top Doctor since 2010 — a distinction drawn from surveys of more than five thousand area physicians asked simply who they would trust for themselves or their families.
