Steven A. Fern, M.D., F.A.C.S., has built two practices — one on Park Avenue in Manhattan, one in Greenwich, Connecticut — and has run both as a solo founder, owner, and medical director since 1997. That longevity and independence, rare in a field increasingly dominated by private-equity-backed multi-surgeon groups, reflects a deliberate philosophy: that cosmetic surgery performed at the highest level requires a single surgeon accountable for every patient, every decision, and every outcome. A magna cum laude graduate of Brown University and a Cornell Medical College alumnus, Dr. Fern completed his plastic surgery training through a rigorous residency before establishing his New York practice.
