About Dr. Yates

York J. Yates, M.D., is, in many respects, a product of the place he serves. A University of Utah graduate who earned his medical degree from that institution's School of Medicine before completing his residency and a fellowship in microsurgery at the University of Missouri, Dr. Yates returned to Utah in 2003 — drawn in part by admiration for his father, Dr. Jay Yates, a longtime family physician at the very same Layton clinic where York would build his own practice. He has been board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 2004. His practice encompasses the full range of cosmetic and reconstructive procedures across the face, breast, and body. Patients consistently note an approach that is unhurried and transparent — a surgeon who takes the time to explain options, manage expectations, and pursue results that are natural rather than obvious.
